13.20 League of Legends patch breaks the game

The release of League of Legends (LoL) patch 13.20 brought chaos to the community as multiple aspects of the game became broken and unplayable. As a result, the developers of Riot Games had to swiftly roll out multiple fixes to address the bugs and game-breaking issues.

The bugs in the 13.20 patch

The 13.20 patch introduced several glitches and game-breaking bugs across a variety of systems and champions. Issues ranged from random map holes and displaced jungle plants to malfunctioning elemental dragon maps.

Riot Games works on hotfix

Upon realising the extent of the issues caused by the 13.20 patch, Riot Games acted swiftly to release a series of hotfixes to address the numerous bugs and glitches. The development team diligently worked to resolve the problems within a short span of time.

The hotfixes included addressing:

• Tryndamere's bug
• Fixing Jax and Illaoi’s abilities
• Adjustments to jungle camp experience/item stacking bugs
• Rectifying the missing or misplaced terrain and plants on Summoner's Rift.

While Riot Games managed to rectify most of the game-breaking issues promptly, players still criticised the lack of thorough scrutiny during the PBE testing phase, hoping for more stringent quality control measures in future patches.
