Unveiling the Evolution: Genshin Impact Leak Exposes Early Animations of Fischl and Childe, Offering a Glimpse into Character Development
A recent leak from Genshin Impact unveils archived game footage showcasing the initial animations of two characters, Fischl and Childe, during their developmental stages. Fischl, originally introduced in version 1.0 in September 2020, has undergone notable changes from her early animations.
Genshin Impact's developer, HoYoverse, follows a consistent pattern of expanding the playable character roster with each update. Characters typically undergo a beta phase, released around 6–7 weeks before the official update, during which most upcoming content is introduced.
Posts on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit have disclosed older animations linked to Fischl and Childe. Fischl's early animations displayed her utilizing elements associated with other characters. For instance, her Elemental Burst transformed her into an Electro field, dealing area-of-effect damage reminiscent of Lisa's Lightning Rose. Surprisingly, her Charged Attack featured Diluc's Pyro phoenix, likely serving as a placeholder until her companion Oz was fully developed. This sparked speculation that HoYoverse initially intended to connect Oz to her Charged Attack.
Despite missing some key elements from her current kit, the leaked footage suggested Fischl's overall model was already finalized. Childe's early animations, on the other hand, exhibited an incomplete color palette significantly distinct from his released version. Some fans observed challenges in Childe's reset after completing his Normal Attack sequence.
The intriguing aspect of these leaked animations is that Childe's attacks seemed imbued with Electro damage, a departure from his Hydro Vision. Speculation arose that these powers might be linked to a Delusion granted by the Fatui.
A credible leaker, Ubatcha, clarified that although the attacks appeared to have Electro elements, they actually applied Hydro damage. Childe and Fischl exhibit synergy on the battlefield, triggering the Electro-Charged elemental reaction in Genshin Impact, dealing Electro damage over time and spreading to nearby enemies with the Wet effect.
