Talented Gamer Crafts Fallout-Themed Terrarium for Pet Spider
A creative gamer has designed an impressive Fallout-themed terrarium to house their pet spider. This unique creation features several recognizable props that fans of the franchise will instantly recognize.
While Fallout has always enjoyed popularity among gamers, its mainstream appeal has surged following the release of the TV adaptation a few months ago. The show introduced Fallout to a new audience, resulting in increased attention for the franchise. This newfound interest has sparked a wave of fan creations, as enthusiasts pay tribute to the series in various ways.
Redditor Kaskaden_916 shared their impressive Fallout-inspired terrarium, designed for their jumping spider, Lucy. The terrarium features a full structure for the spider to hide in, complete with a vault door at the top of the mountain. Upon closer inspection, fans can spot a deathclaw skull and mini nuke on the floor, adding cool, recognizable details for franchise enthusiasts. Although it’s not confirmed, the spider's name, Lucy, might be a nod to Lucy MacLean, a character from the recent TV show.
Crafting the Fallout-Themed Terrarium
The Fallout-themed terrarium was 3D printed and then hand-painted by Kaskaden_916. The project is still a work in progress, with the creator currently printing and painting additional decor to give the spider more hiding spots. It's fascinating to see how the Fallout games continue to inspire fans to incorporate elements of the series into their real lives in such unique ways.
Despite the series' current popularity, the release date for the next mainline Fallout game remains uncertain. Bethesda's schedule is heavily occupied with The Elder Scrolls 6, and the studio doesn't appear to be in a hurry to hand the IP to a third party. However, if Bethesda wants to capitalize on Fallout's current popularity, partnering with another developer might be a viable option. Interestingly, it was recently revealed that Larian Studios, the developers of Baldur's Gate 3, once expressed interest in creating a Fallout game. While this collaboration seems unlikely at the moment, it could be a match made in heaven for the franchise.
