Unite for Rewards: Pokémon GO's 'Triumph Together' Event Brings Exclusive Challenges and Bonuses

Pokémon GO has announced the upcoming "Triumph Together" event, set to run from August 23 to August 30. During this eight-day event, players will collaborate to unlock special bonuses and rewards, including encounters with Pokémon using exclusive team-themed accessories.

August has been an eventful month for Pokémon GO players. Niantic kicked off the month with the Adventure Week 2024 event from August 2-12, featuring the return of Mega Rayquaza during a special Raid Day on August 3. This was followed by the Adventure Week: Taken Over event from August 8-18, marking the debut of Shadow Cresselia in Pokémon GO. Other highlights included Lugia's Shadow Raid Weekend (August 10-11), the Pokémon World Championships event (August 16-20), and the Classic Community Day featuring Beldum on August 18. As the month continues, Pokémon GO is set to keep the excitement going with yet another engaging event.

The "Triumph Together" event will commence on August 23 at 3 PM and conclude on August 30 at 11:59 PM PDT. Players worldwide will need to unite to complete three challenges, which will unlock bonuses, rewards, and team-themed Timed Research tasks. By finishing these Timed Research tasks, players can earn encounters with Ponyta, Elekid, and Lapras, each donning accessories themed after the leaders of Team Valor, Instinct, and Mystic—Candela, Spark, and Blanche.

Pokémon GO Triumph Together Event Details:

• Date: Friday, August 23, at 3 PM to Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:59 PM PDT
• Team Valor's Challenge: Defeat 75,000,000 Team GO Rocket members
• Team Instinct's Challenge: Hatch 20,000,000 eggs
• Team Mystic's Challenge: Complete 35,000,000 Pokémon GO Field Research tasks

Upon completing these challenges, players will receive various bonuses, such as increased encounters with Team GO Rocket (Team Valor), reduced egg hatching distance (Team Instinct), and event-themed Field Research tasks offering encounters with Pokémon like Beldum and Emolga (Team Mystic). Additionally, Pokémon GO will offer a Paid Timed Research option for $5 USD, providing trainers with rewards such as two Premium Battle Passes and a valuable Rocket Radar.

In addition to the Triumph Together event, August will also feature a Community Day on the 31st, focusing on Popplio, one of the Generation 7 starters, giving trainers a chance to catch this sought-after Pokémon. Meanwhile, Niantic is gearing up for even more exciting activities for players, including the introduction of Generation 8 Pokémon, which promises to bring changes to battle dynamics. A new teaser has also hinted at the upcoming ability to use Dynamax and Gigantamax in Pokémon GO, adding to the anticipation.
