Deadlock Introduces New Ranked System: Climb the Ranks and Compete for Prizes!
Valve's Deadlock has introduced a new ranked system, adding a competitive layer to the popular MOBA shooter. The system focuses on consistent weekly performance and structured rank progression, giving players a fresh challenge. To access ranked mode, players must first complete 50 normal matches. Once unlocked, they must play at least seven ranked matches each week to maintain or improve their rank. Failing to meet this requirement results in being demoted to the provisional rank, Obscurus, where all players begin.
The ranked system includes 12 tiers, each with six subranks (I-VI).
The ranks are as follows:
- Obscurus
- Initiate
- Seeker
- Alchemist
- Arcanist
- Ritualist
- Emissary
- Archon
- Oracle
- Phantom
- Ascendant
- Eternus
Players progress through these ranks based on their weekly performance, with rankings recalculated at the end of each week. This dynamic system keeps competition fresh and motivates players to stay active. Ranked mode is available during specific time windows each day to ensure optimal matchmaking quality.
The community has responded positively to the new ranked system, as it provides both casual and competitive players a platform to test their skills and aim for higher ranks. Additionally, the introduction of ranked tournaments, featuring real-money prizes and prestige, has further incentivized high-level play.
Overall, Deadlock's ranked system strikes a balance between accessibility and challenge, encouraging players to stay engaged and continuously improve.
